The Flukes

The Flukes (Su White, Tushar Robins and Fiona Stuart) have been playing together since about 2015. They all sing and play soprano, concert, tenor and bass ukulele, and Tushar plays as a number of percussion "instruments" such as the egg and the frog.

They opened for Canadian ukulele virtuoso James Hill in Geraldine in December 2017, and for the American folk duo, The Quiet American at the Geraldine Ukulele Festival in July 2018. Since then The Flukes have been invited to perform the Geraldine Ukulele Festival and the Te Anau Ukulele Festival, where they also ran workshops on song arranging for groups.

The Flukes create interesting vocal harmonies and with Su writing lead breaks, Tushar as our percussionist extraordinaire and Fiona sometimes playing bass, they've managed quite a repertoire, and believe that every song can be a ukulele song!
